5vr3 modulator  Oct 29, 2009
The vr3 modulator is easy to use,and great for long roadtrips. I like that you can use either a usb flash drive or the sd card.Amazon has it for a great price as well!!

5great device  Sep 11, 2009
Great device for a great price. Everything works well. The adjustable arm is a great feature. Only complaint is that the screen is a bit small.

2FM transmitter? Sounds more like AM!  May 22, 2009
I really wanted to like this product. Really. The SD/USB playback idea is brilliant- you don't need to bring an iPod or other MP3 player in the car- just plug a flash memory chip or thumbdrive with your music on it into the transmitter and you're all set. That worked just as advertised.

My only complaint was the absolutely dreadful sound quality. Understand that I'm not an "audiophile"- I don't wax philosophically about the "warmth" of tube amplifiers, and my speaker wires at home don't look like they could be used as automotive jumper cables in a pinch, but even I can recognize the difference between "average" and truly awful. Put simply, this device has no treble! It sounded more like an AM radio than an FM radio.

I gave it two stars instead of one, since it is a versatile, clever, little device, and if you aren't critical about sound quality at all, the positives might outweigh the negative for you. Just make sure you buy it from a store with a return policy just in case, like myself, you just couldn't stand listening to it!

I realize no FM transmitter will give you "CD quality", but the Belkin unit I replaced it with sounds much better- like any FM radio station, which is good enough for me.

3crappy sound, but they're all the same  May 08, 2009
great because it has both the sd card slot and a jack to plug any iPod or else.
No so cool because most of the time the sound sucks pretty bad... But then again I have never heard one that sounds good no matter what brand.
